The Agriculture Small Packaging Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient packaging, weighing, labeling, and preparation of small-quantity agricultural products - including seed, feed, fertilizer, and related farm supplies - for retail sale. This role ensures products are packaged to company and regulatory standards, properly labeled, and ready for the sales floor or customer pickup, while maintaining a safe and organized work area.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Measure, weigh, and package agricultural products (seed, feed, fertilizer, and similar goods) into small retail-ready quantities according to established procedures Accurately label packaged products with product name, weight, lot/batch number, and any required regulatory or safety information Operate packaging equipment such as scales, bag sealers, and labeling machines safely and correctly Inspect raw product for quality, contamination, or damage prior to packaging and report any issues to a supervisor Maintain accurate inventory counts of bulk and packaged product, including recording quantities packaged each shift Keep the packaging area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards Stack, palletize, and stage packaged product for transfer to the sales floor or warehouse storage Follow all safety procedures related to equipment operation, lifting, and handling of agricultural chemicals or treated seed, where applicable Assist with loading and unloading of bulk product deliveries as needed Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding low stock, equipment issues, or packaging material shortages Support other feedmill or seed house operations during slower packaging periods and other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in a warehouse, production, packaging, or agricultural setting preferred but not required Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and recording quantities accurately Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures Comfortable operating basic packaging or warehouse equipment (training provided) Strong attention to detail, particularly around accurate labeling and weights Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent schedule, including seasonal peak periodsWORKING CONDITIONS
This is an agricultural manufacturing and production environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials. There will be exposure to dust, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures depending on facility operations.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
