6:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Shipping position available at a company in Saint Charles, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Shipping Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness with ships lists ensuring quantity matches paperwork.
- Accurately completes required paperwork.
- Reviews merchandise prior to packaging to ensure product is properly labeled.
- Loads and secures product onto trucks with straps and load bars ensuring protection of products to prevent freight damage.
- Utilizes scan functions to perform shipping functions in conjunction with computer.
- Uses forklift to move merchandise safety and always company forklift rules.
- Communicate with the Less Than Truckload (LTL) Drivers regarding paperwork and pro numbers.
- Ensures shipping inspections are being completed and labeled appropriately.
- Troubleshoots and communicates problems with products, components, tools and overall quality of product being loaded.
- Learns and maintains moderate product knowledge (I.e. learn product by model number, how different products should be packaged and secured, etc.
- Consistently produces at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision.
- Obtains and maintains moderate product knowledge (I.e. learn product by model number, how different products should be packaged and secured, etc.
- Verifies and refers to Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Drives and trains associates on use of yard dog.
- Maintains excellent product knowledge (I.e. knows product by model number, how different products should be packaged and secured, etc.)
- Trains associates on how to correctly complete bill of lading, shipping labels, packing slips, proper procedures for creating pallet identification labels, and item bar code labels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Shipping Requirements:
- Previous shipping experience preferred.
- Ability to use bar code readers, computer terminals, and other electronic devices.
- Forklift training and certification is required.
- Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and reaches to work overhead.
- Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
- Pushes and pulls materials, fingers and grasps parts and components.
- Exerts up to 60 pounds of force frequently.
- Pays close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines.
- Tolerates extremes in weather and machine temperature.
- Tolerates loud noise.
- Extensive use with power/hand tools.
