Shipping/Packer - Fulfillment Ops - Asheville Reports to:
Production Supervisor Supervises:
N/A Summary Statement:
Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor, the employee in this position is responsible for pulling and stacking boxes of products to be shipped following all established work and safety procedures. Essential Job Functions Using provided tickets, pull boxes of products needed to ship, scanning each pulled box. Communicate via telephone and email with customers. Review order in computer, correcting any discrepancies. Notify warehouse personnel when products are ready for shipping. Stack boxes of products not yet ready to be shipped in appropriate locations. Review and adjust inventory using computer software. Marginal Job Functions Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit. Participate in training and meetings as requested. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend over a 10-hour period. Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds on a regular basis. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees. Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures. Must have good customer service skills. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Must have working knowledge of computers. Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads. Must be detail oriented. Education and Work Experience Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. On-the-job-training will be provided.
