Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently preparing products for shipment by carefully packaging items in accordance with manufacturing standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate packaging equipment and hand tools to assemble, pack, and seal products according to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Handle materials safely using appropriate material handling equipment, including forklifts when certified. Interpret production documents to verify product specifications and packaging requirements. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials while adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse operations. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with packaging machinery and assist with industrial equipment troubleshooting as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Support warehouse operations by managing inventory, labeling packages accurately, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Assist in assembly tasks when required, ensuring all products meet quality standards before packing. Document packing activities clearly, including completion of relevant production documents and logs. Experience Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) is advantageous. Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and quality checks are necessary. Mechanical knowledge or troubleshooting skills related to industrial equipment or packaging machinery will be beneficial. Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred) is a plus. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions with precision. Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including heavy lifting techniques and safety protocol adherence.
