Job Description Palletizer Kinston, NC Compensation Includes Starting Pay Rate of $17.05/hour

  • Friday Overview The person who occupies this position is responsible for unloading cases from conveyors and stacking them onto pallets according to carton specifications.
Responsibilities Retrieves packed cases from conveyors and stacks them onto pallets according to customer specifications Palletizer wraps top of loaded pallet to prevent higher boxes from falling when load is moved Pulls loaded skid with handtruck to area where skid is retrieved by forklift (approximately 70 ft) Constructs cardboard tops to cover boxes that do not have folding flaps Qualifications High School diploma or GED required
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software:
No experience needed (entry-level) Must be able to speak, read and write English Handtruck and tape (to construct box covers) Must be flexible: able to work other shifts, overtime and Saturdays when needed Physical requirements and visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, twisting (re-piling loads), kneeling, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, visual acuity (near and far) Requires lifting packed cases (weighing up to 50 lbs.) from the rollers (3 feet high), carrying them approximately 5 feet to pallet and stacking them onto correct pallet. Cases are stacked as high as 7 feet Job requires lifting empty pallets (approximately 50 lbs.) from stack of pallets and sliding them to end of conveyor approximately once very hour Requires physical ability to pull full pallet (1500
