Job Description
PURPOSE:
The packer position is responsible for packing or packaging a variety of products and materials by hand.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Counts, measures, and weighs materials and products. 2. Removes defective products or materials, placing them in specified areas for handling. 3. Constructs, lines, and pads cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. 4. Examine containers, products, and materials for quality control and ensure packing requirements are met. 5. Marks and labels containers, container tags, labels, or products. 6. Stacks boxes on pallets. 7. Loads products and materials into package-processing equipment. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. 9. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the work area. 10. Ensure that safety standards are followed and reports any potentially unsafe conditions. 11. Maintains a high level of GMP & safety awareness adhering to all established safety policies and procedures. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

- Ability to assess products for quality compliance.
- Basic understanding of principles and processes of a production line.
- Meets productivity standards, completes work in a timely manner.
