Food Service & Meal Packing Specialist (Home Delivered Meals Support Coordinator) Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Job Summary The AgeWell Center is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Food Service & Meal Packing Specialist to join our Home Delivered Meals (HDM) team. This is a hands-on position focused primarily on preparing, packing, organizing, and distributing meals for older adults throughout Bismarck and Burleigh County. This position works alongside other HDM staff, kitchen staff, and volunteers to ensure meals are packed accurately and ready for daily distribution. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working on their feet, and able to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Duties Pack and prepare meals for Home Delivered Meals, Drive-Through, Crescent Manor, and other nutrition program participants. Prepare and organize daily frozen meal orders. Assist with weekly frozen meal packing and preparation. Pack hot meals, cold items, bread, frozen meals, and other meal components for distribution. Stock and organize food, supplies, meal carriers, cold packs, and other materials used in daily operations. Maintain accurate meal counts, frozen meal sheets, and other program records. Work alongside HDM staff, kitchen staff, and volunteers to complete daily meal-packing responsibilities. Train and assist meal-packing volunteers. Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties. Clean and maintain meal delivery equipment and assigned milk coolers. Provide backup for volunteer meal-delivery drivers when needed. Build positive working relationships with volunteers, drivers, coworkers, and program participants. Communicate changes, concerns, or information affecting daily meal operations to the HDM/Outreach Services Manager. Assist with paperwork and other program needs as requested. Follow agency policies and expectations related to food safety, attendance, punctuality, confidentiality, and workplace conduct. Perform other duties as assigned based on program needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with coworkers and volunteers. Basic computer and math skills. Compassionate and respectful when working with older adults. Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required. Previous food service, meal preparation, packing, or similar experience is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position requiring regular standing, bending, twisting, carrying, pushing, and moving meal carriers, cold packs, food, and supplies. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods of time and repeatedly lift approximately 15-30 pounds.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
