The Packer/Shipper is responsible for the packaging and shipping of product according to customer specifications and company standards for delivery.Essential Responsibilities:
Work with other team members to ensure that orders are packed, shipped and received in a timely manner. Receive incoming orders from production, build boxes/crates for packing, pack material with care, and check for mistakes Operate forklift to move/pack materials Keep the warehouse organized and safe by following safety rules and guidelines. Keep the work area clean and orderly by maintaining area throughout the day as well as an end of the day clean up Follow all company policies and procedures set forth Work as a team member to ensure that production is running smoothly and customers are satisfied. Arrange shipments with logistics companies Receive and manage inventory on company software(Netsuite)Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable with computers
- Must be able to read a tape measurer
- Ability to operate power tools, table saw, chop saw, etc.
- Able to operate a forklift
