About the role We're engaging seasonal contractors to support our jewelry packing and inspection operation through our peak period. You'll unpack incoming shipments, inspect and verify each piece against its documentation, and re-pack items for outbound shipment or storage. The work is detail-intensive and involves high-value merchandise, so accuracy and care matter more than speed. This is an on-site engagement running approximately Sept through December. No prior jewelry experience is required. Scope of work Unpack incoming jewelry shipments and log contents against packing slips and manifests Inspect each piece for damage, missing components, or discrepancies, and flag anything that doesn't match documentation Sort and stage items by order, style, or destination Re-pack items to specification using approved materials Record counts and item details accurately in our tracking system Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area Adhere to chain-of-custody and inventory-control requirements What we're looking for Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, precision handwork Ability to work from written specifications Availability to complete assigned lots within scheduled turnaround windows Basic reading, counting, and data-entry skills Comfort working with small, delicate, high-value items Trustworthy, discreet, and professional around confidential inventory Legally authorized to work in the United States Nice to have (not required) Prior experience in jewelry, luxury goods, fine watches, or high-value fulfillment Warehouse, shipping/receiving, quality control, or inspection background Familiarity with inventory or order-management software Loupe or magnification experience Physical requirements Sitting or standing at a workstation for extended periods Sustained close-up visual work with small objects Repetitive hand and finger motions Occasionally lifting and moving boxes up to 25 lbs Why this engagement $17 - $17.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly Clean, climate-controlled, secure office environment Consistent daytime hours — no nights Additional engagements may be available after the season for strong performers
