High-Bay Order Selection Specialist URBN Inc USA Reno, NV Job Details $19 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Fall protection protocols Full Job Description Step into a day where you keep North America moving Join our warehouse team and use powered industrial equipment—forklifts, cherry pickers (order pickers), walkie stackers, double walkie riders, tuggers, and pallet jacks—to pick, move, and replenish the products that ship across North America. You'll navigate high-bay racking, rely on RF scanners and touchscreens, and collaborate with teammates, customers, and leaders to keep orders flowing with precision. A day in the role Kick off with pre-shift equipment inspections and a safety huddle aligned to URBN safety protocols. Rise to 25-40+ feet on a cherry picker using full PPE, including a fall-protection body harness and lanyard, to select and stow inventory. Transition between tasks—replenishing stock, labeling product, making boxes, and relocating items—while maintaining real-time inventory accuracy with RF devices. Support inbound and outbound operations by loading and unloading trailers and organizing staging areas. Keep your zone clean, orderly, and safe while communicating clearly with co-workers and supervisors. Schedule Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime as required. What you'll handle Operate a range of PIT equipment to transport, store, and replenish inventory in storage and staging locations. Perform elevated picking and putaway at high-bay levels (25-40+ feet) in strict compliance with OSHA and fall-protection procedures.
Execute inbound/outbound tasks:
loading/unloading trailers, product labeling, box making, and item relocation. Use RF scanners, touchscreens, and warehouse systems to drive tasks and maintain real-time inventory tracking. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; complete pre-shift equipment inspections and follow operational guidelines. What you'll bring Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or GED is a plus. Warehouse or manufacturing background is a plus. Experience with forklifts or heavy machinery is a plus. Ability to operate RF scanners, desktop computers, and touchscreens. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards. Physical requirements Comfort and capability working at heights up to 40+ feet on elevated equipment while continuously wearing required PPE (fall-protection body harness and lanyard). Ability to stand and walk throughout a large facility for the full shift. Ability to lift, push, pull, and reach for objects up to 50 lbs., in a variety of shapes and sizes. Ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and move safely around machinery and multi-level racking. Coordinated movement skills to operate material handling equipment safely in narrow aisles and elevated environments.
