Job Description
Our client is growing like crazy , and we are hiring new folks for our team! We're currently seeking Packaging Specialist s for a fast-paced manufacturing and laboratory facility in Athens, OH. This role plays a key part in supporting the packaging and assembly of diagnostic products — from raw materials through to bottled and labeled finished goods. Ideal candidates are precise, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a highly structured, documentation-driven production environment. On-the-job training is provided.

$14.00 - $15.50/hr, based on experienceShift Schedule:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Extended hours occasionally required to meet Master Schedule and manufacturing demands.Job Responsibilities:
Support all packaging processes by following work steps and instructions provided by the Packaging Supervisor. Meet due dates as specified in the Master Production Schedule while maintaining high quality at or below cost targets. Ensure all packaged and labeled components meet visual and integrity specifications by working closely with QC and other production personnel. Conduct in-process checks and inspection of packaged products as required. Perform work with near-perfect accuracy with no deviations from accepted practices — emphasis on maintaining control and achieving reproducibility in compliance with quality system regulations. Respond to all audits of production areas in a proactive, constructive manner by resolving deficiencies and implementing corrective actions. Maintain an orderly and clean working environment throughout the shift. Interact daily with the Packaging Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, and other Packaging Specialists to coordinate work schedules and activities. Interact with QC for Line Clearances. Carry out all duties in compliance with established business policies and GMP/ISO regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to manipulate packaging materials and visually monitor products for quality standards. Ability to hear and operate laboratory machinery. Must be able to maneuver easily throughout a laboratory and manufacturing environment.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or a minimum of 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Careful attention to detail and strict adherence to formally approved production documentation required. Familiarity with current GMP and ISO quality regulations preferred. Familiarity with basic laboratory devices and equipment preferred. Strong organizational skills and flexibility to follow direction from a variety of people. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must pass background check and drug test.
