Job Description
Meat Packer 12428 State Route 88, Garrettsville, OH 44231 From $18 an hour - Full-time From $18 an hour - Full-time The Meat Packer is responsible for safely handling, weighing, packaging, and labeling beef products according to company and USDA food safety standards. This role supports daily production goals by ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and teamwork in all tasks. Key Responsibilities Package beef products according to product specifications. Operate scales, label printers, and packaging equipment safely. Inspect products for quality and food safety compliance before packaging. Apply correct labels, lot codes, and dates. Handle product efficiently to prevent contamination or damage. Maintain a clean, organized workstation during and after production. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), PPE requirements, and food safety procedures. Assist with end-of-day cleanup and staging of equipment for sanitation. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or packaging is a plus. Ability to stand for long periods and work in cold environments (35-45°F). Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety. Reliable attendance and teamwork are essential.
