Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging & Quality Control Technician to join our Fittings Metal Collection team. This role is responsible for performing final quality inspections, carefully packaging finished products, and preparing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, has a keen eye for detail, and understands that the final presentation of every product is just as important as its construction. As the final checkpoint before products leave our facility, you'll play a critical role in ensuring every shipment meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Perform final inspections of finished products to ensure they meet Fittings' quality standards. Verify product dimensions, finishes, hardware, and overall craftsmanship before packaging. Identify, document, and communicate any defects or inconsistencies to the production team. Ensure all order components and accessories are included prior to shipment. Packaging & Shipping Package products securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit. Build and assemble shipping boxes, crates, and protective packaging as needed. Label, organize, and prepare shipments according to company procedures. Verify packing lists and shipping documentation for accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized packaging area. Order Preparation Pull completed orders and organize them for shipment. Coordinate with production staff to prioritize outgoing orders. Assist with inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing. Help maintain efficient workflow to meet shipping deadlines. Shop Support Assist with light assembly or finishing tasks when needed. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and equipment guidelines. Support other shop operations as business needs require.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in packaging, shipping, manufacturing, warehouse, or quality control preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift. About Architectural Justice & Fittings For 40 years, Architectural Justice has delivered artisan-level remodeling, custom interiors, and distinctive design. In 2021, the company launched Fittings Metal Collection, which designs and manufactures handcrafted metal shelving, wine racking, and architectural accents for luxury residential and hospitality spaces across the country. This position is employed by Architectural Justice and works directly with the Fittings team in our metal shop, where craftsmanship, precision, and teamwork are essential to delivering exceptional products to customers nationwide.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
