At Fairway Architectural Railing Solutions, we've been designing custom railings that create the perfect finishing touch on multifamily and commercial projects for over 30 years! What you will do... The Operator I performs assigned tasks related to raw materials being turned into sellable finished goods as directed by the Production Supervisor. In a typical day you will... Follows work order instructions to prepare and package finished products. Creates kits of finished product and corresponding hardware and accessories to be packaged as a unit. Operates machinery to package finished products into bags and physically moves material from roller tables to carts. Manually applies adhesives to seal boxes and packaging. Uses miter saw and auto-cut saw to cut posts and other material. Uses pass/fail gauges and tape measure to ensure proper cutting and assembly of material. Inspects product during preparation and assembly in accordance to quality standards. Records and rejects defective parts on the work order to ensure inventory accuracy. Tests products for any structural defect. Completes proper paperwork in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and guidelines. Organizes and clean shop and materials used. Manually labels finished products and ensures all material is secured and bundled correctly to protect it from the weather. Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following company policies and procedures. Participates in continuous improvement activities and promotes ideas to improve work processes.
