Job Title:
Assembly / Receiving Associate - 1st Shift Job Description The Assembly / Receiving Associate plays a key role in daily warehouse operations with a focus on electronics handling, shipping, and receiving. You ensure accurate receiving, kitting, and inventory control while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment that supports on-time delivery of high-quality kits and components. Responsibilities Perform a full range of warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, kitting, and order fulfillment. Execute accurate and timely receiving of electronic components, including verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and completing all required documentation. Coordinate kitting operations by picking, packing, and assembling components into kits with a high level of accuracy for production use. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation of variances. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to identify and resolve inventory shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of electronic components to prevent damage, contamination, or loss. Follow all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures and safety protocols when working with sensitive electronic parts. Support shipping and receiving activities to ensure orders are processed, packed, and staged on time for delivery. Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues promptly. Essential Skills Hands-on warehouse experience with receiving, inventory, kitting, and shipping and receiving activities. Ability to work accurately with electronic components, following ESD and safety protocols. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective multitasking skills to handle various warehouse functions throughout the shift. Ability to lift and move items regularly up to the specified weight limit (e.g., 50 lbs), as required for warehouse operations. Strong communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with team members and cross-functional departments. Attention to detail when performing cycle counts, documenting receipts, and assembling kits. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an electronics-focused warehouse or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and workflows. Comfort working in a small, collaborative team setting. Ability to follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines. Willingness to perform both sitting and standing tasks throughout the shift. Reliability and punctuality for an 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. shift schedule. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled and humidity-controlled manufacturing shop designed with lean manufacturing principles for efficient workflow. You work as part of a very small team that may include a test operator, an AOI operator, and a team lead who provides day-to-day supervision and guidance. The work involves a mix of sitting and standing while performing various warehouse and assembly tasks, with no frequent heavy lifting required beyond the standard weight limit for items handled. The scheduled hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the environment emphasizes safety, organization, and proper handling of electronic components under ESD and general safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shippensburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
