Packer/Assembler Job Description Join a dynamic team in a large manufacturing plant that produces high-end outdoor plastic furniture. The role involves working in either the Packer or Assembly Department, where you will contribute to creating durable and aesthetically pleasing products. Responsibilities Pick and pack pieces of plastic furniture from 1-2 machines at a time. Inspect products for color defects, ensuring high quality standards. Palletize and fill totes with products in the Packer Department. Perform basic assembly of plastic furniture parts such as seats and chair backs in the Assembly Department. Ensure board lengths are consistent when packing in boxes. Inspect color, pack nuts, bolts, and directions, and tape boxes for shipment. Essential Skills General production or manufacturing experience. Experience as a picker, packer, or machine operator in a fast-paced environment. Strong attendance record. Basic math skills. Ability to inspect different colors for quality defects. Capability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs (mostly 10-30 lbs). Ability to climb steps and step stools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic assembly skills are a plus. Must have a GED or high school diploma to transition to a permanent role. Attention to detail and inspection skills. The facility operates 5 days a week, 24 hours a day, providing flexibility in scheduling. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tamaqua, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
