This is a great opportunity that can provide exciting growth within the organization.Responsibilities include:
- Stack lumber in layers, placing stickers (small wooden sticks) between each layer to promote even air flow and drying.
- Inspect lumber for defects and ensure it is properly aligned and supported during stacking.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the stacking and drying process.
- Monitor the condition of stacked lumber and report any issues to supervisors.
- Assist with other tasks in the lumber yard as needed, including loading and unloading trucks and organizing inventory.
