Job Description
Job Title:
Order Packer 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm Mon-Friday)- Up to $24/hr
Department:
Shipping Accountability:
This position reports to theWarehouse Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Read and understand the order to be packed
- Select and pack finished goods as noted on the sales order
- Check accuracy of product and product count against checklist prior to processing the order
- Package small and bulk orders according to work instruction
- Inform the Supervisor or Team Leader when there are issues with order fulfillment or product shortages
- Maintain a clean, safe work area
- Refill work area with packaging materials as needed
- Follow all department and safety procedures of the facility and warehouse zones
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, Technical Certification, a plus
- 1+ years' experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience using an ERP system, preferred
- Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet-jacks, carts, etc.), preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to perform basic mathematic computations
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to push-pull a maximum of 1200 lbs. with a manual rolling assist
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and ladder-climb for more than 1 hour at a time
- Must be able to work at heights of up to 20 feet
- Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
- Proficient computer skills
- General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus Work Environment -
