Job Title:
Packager Job Description The Packager receives and processes incoming goods, prepares and labels products, and ensures accurate and timely shipment of orders. This role uses warehouse systems and shipping platforms to manage inventory, perform cycle counts, and package products according to established quality and safety standards in an electronic packaging environment. 1st shift Electronic Packager $19/hr Responsibilities Receive incoming goods and accurately process receipts in the M2M system. Label products and put them away in the appropriate warehouse locations. Pick products and process daily shipments using UPS and FedEx systems. Package and label products for shipment in accordance with shipping and quality requirements. Perform cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records. Follow work assignments, directions, instructions, and the Work Order Schedule provided by the Production Lead. Determine job order requirements by following production priorities. Review assembly instructions, engineering drawings, or notes on the bill of materials (BOM), where available. Use hand crimpers to create discrete wires and harnesses for electronic assemblies. Assemble electronic subassemblies to install wire harnesses as required. Handle materials safely and efficiently, including order picking and packing tasks. Use RF scanners and other warehouse tools to support picking, packing, and shipping activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, room, or station. Ensure efficiency requirements and quality standards are consistently met. Follow all safety requirements and safety policies at all times. Essential Skills Experience with picking, packaging, and material handling in a warehouse or production environment. Ability to perform order picking, packing, and shipping tasks accurately and efficiently. Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory, picking, and shipping operations. Hands-on experience with cycle counting to support inventory accuracy. Familiarity with wire gauges (AWG). Knowledge of terminals, pins, lugs, and connectors typically used for wire harness fabrication. Ability to use hand crimpers to create discrete wires and harnesses. Capability to read and follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and BOM notes. Understanding of basic shipping processes using UPS and FedEx systems. Strong attention to detail to meet efficiency and quality standards. Commitment to following safety requirements and safety policies. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an electronic packaging or similar manufacturing environment. Ability to assemble electronic subassemblies and install harnesses. Comfort working under a production schedule and adapting to shifting priorities. Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
