Job Title:
Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Associate accurately handle full totes from automated robots, reload totes as needed, and stack them onto pallets while operating pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures materials are picked, packed, and moved efficiently using RF scanners and basic computer systems, maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and organization. Responsibilities Receive full totes from robots and safely transfer them to designated areas. Reload totes as needed to support ongoing warehouse and fulfillment operations. Stack totes neatly and securely onto pallets to optimize storage and transport. Operate pallet jacks to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse. Perform picking and packing tasks to fulfill orders accurately and on time. Use RF scanners to track inventory, confirm picks, and update system records. Handle materials with care to prevent damage and maintain product quality. Count items accurately and enter data into computer systems as required. Follow established procedures for shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards. Adhere to all safety guidelines while lifting, moving, and stacking items. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth operations. Essential Skills Proven pallet jack experience and ability to operate pallet jacks safely. Strong counting skills with the ability to work accurately with inventory quantities. Basic computer skills to enter data and work with warehouse systems. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis. High attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and inventory handling. Experience with material handling in a warehouse or similar environment. Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking and order fulfillment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with picking and packing processes in a distribution or warehouse setting. Comfort working with automated systems and robots in a warehouse environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain an orderly work area. Reliability and consistency in meeting productivity and accuracy expectations. Willingness to follow established procedures and safety protocols. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in an air-conditioned and heated warehouse of approximately 6,000 square feet, maintained at a comfortable temperature range of 68-72 degrees. The environment is designed for comfort and productivity, with music allowed on the floor to create a positive atmosphere. Work involves operating pallet jacks, handling totes and pallets, and using RF scanners and computers in a clean, organized facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
