Job Description Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a Packaging Specialist to support packaging operations and broader supply chain initiatives at their new facility in Greenville, SC. The Packaging Specialist - Supply Chain Project Management acts as a key point of contact for packaging-related activities, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant packaging solutions across multiple sites and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for all packaging-related topics internally and externally
Develop and implement packaging concepts for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
Ensure the right packaging materials (boxes, containers, etc.) are available and optimize
Coordinate packaging across internal sites and external suppliers to improve efficiency and cost
Plan and calculate packaging and logistics costs during quotation and project phases
Maintain and update packaging specifications, instructions, and documentation
Manage packaging master data and related information in SAP and customer portals
Conduct packaging tests, inspections, and approvals to ensure compliance
Collaborate with purchasing, production, sales, and suppliers to align packaging solutions
Support broader supply chain activities as directed by the Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Packaging, or related field Experience in packaging, materials, or supply chain operations Strong understanding of shipping, logistics, and inventory processes High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams SAP experience strongly preferred Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively Strong communication and problem-solving skill Open to candidates with foundational supply chain experience who are eager to learn Why is This aGreat Opportunity :
