Job Summary We're looking for a Packing and Shipping Specialist to handle the packing and shipping side of our operation. You'll pull orders, pack them carefully, and get them ready for the carrier pickup each day. Some orders are quick, just a box and a label, but others need extra padding or a bit more thought to make sure fragile items travel safely. You'll also print shipping labels, match them to the right orders, and stack completed boxes for pickup. It's a fast-paced environment during peak hours, so staying organized matters. Most days follow a similar rhythm, though volume can shift depending on the season. You'll also keep the packing station stocked and tidy between orders. Responsibilities Pulling and packing orders based on packing slips Wrapping fragile items securely before boxing them Printing and applying shipping labels to outgoing packages Restock tape, boxes, and packing materials as needed Staging completed shipments for carrier pickup Checking packed orders against the original order for accuracy Light cleaning and organizing of the packing area between shifts Reporting shortages or damaged inventory to a supervisor Qualifications You keep track of small details, especially when packing multiple orders back to back. When the pace picks up, you're able to keep working steadily without losing accuracy. Being comfortable with a computer or handheld scanner helps you keep orders moving. Clear communication matters here, since you'll sometimes need to flag a shortage or mismatch to a supervisor. Showing up on time and being reliable is something we count on daily. If a label doesn't match the order, you're willing to stop and sort it out rather than guess. Being a team player helps when the packing line gets busy. A positive attitude goes a long way on the days that run long.
