In this vital role, you will operate various material handling equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, to select and package products with precision. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, safe handling of materials, and timely shipment of orders. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills contribute directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Efficiently pick items using order picker equipment, RF scanners, barcode scanning systems, and manual techniques to fulfill customer orders accurately. Pack products securely following packaging standards to prevent damage during transit. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks safely in accordance with safety protocols and PPE requirements. Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to safety guidelines. Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS) and perform regular stock counts for inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and updating inventory systems accordingly. Support warehouse distribution activities including stocking shelves, organizing materials, and ensuring a clean, safe workspace. Conduct quality control checks on picked and packed items to meet company standards before dispatching orders. Follow safety procedures diligently during all manual handling tasks and heavy equipment operation to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse operations is highly preferred. Hands-on experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, or similar heavy equipment is essential; certification is a plus. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning technology, and inventory management systems is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with understanding safety protocols related to warehouse distribution. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management practices will be considered an asset.
