We're a family-owned, aluminum extrusion manufacturing company located in the heart of Summerville, South Carolina. We extrude, fabricate, anodize and powder coat aluminum parts for customers in a variety of industries. DUTIES:
The duties for this position include: Packing, wrapping and loading materials into boxes for shipment; wrapping and protecting materials to protect the finish. Performing quality checks on all items before packing to ensure that our customers receive their orders in good shape. Notifying a supervisor when quality issues are found. Keeping an accurate count of items packed, wrapped and boxed; printing shipping labels; and wrapping pallets with shrink wrap. Working as part of a fast-moving team.
REQUIREMENTS
To be qualified for this position, you: Must have, at least, 1-year prior shipping & receiving experience, required. Prior experience packing orders and printing shipping labels preferred. Forklift experience not required, but it is a big plus. Must be able to work Monday through Thursday each week from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and some Fridays from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Must be comfortable cross-training; working in different departments; performing different tasks in the production area depending on our production needs. Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, including: standing, walking, bending, twisting and frequently lifting between 30 lbs and 50 lbs throughout your shift; and you must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
