Job Description
Receiving/Material Handler/PickerDiamond Mowers is adding to their team. We are looking for a Full Time Receiving/Material Handler/Picker. This person will report directly to the Parts Inventory Control Manager. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and thrives in a fast past environment. This person would also be responsible for pulling and picking orders for production. Key RolesReceives goods verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from the trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately report discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department.
Organize materials, remove refuse, and arrange working areas to ensure it is always neat and clean as well as safe.
Stage all required materials for manufacturing operations to ensure no delays in scheduled production.
Conduct inventory audits.
Additional job duties and responsibilities as dictated by business needs.
Work Tickets are efficiently and accurately pulled and staged for Assembly. Pull and deliver parts for the assembly department for in-progress, priority work orders.
Locate difficult parts through experience, observation, and available resources (MAS).Verify parts description and quality of parts pulled. ResponsibilitiesAbility to follow instructionsAbility to work within different computer programs as needed to complete work-related tasksSupport and promote safety and good housekeeping in all areas.
Strong communication skills with various internal and external customers Ability to work in a warehouse environment that is climate controlledAccurately pull work tickets orders and verify on MPD if incomplete.
Inspect and verify accurate parts for completion of order. Reports critical obstacles to department supervisor for planning purposes.
Safely Operate Forklift or Rolling Ladder to pick orders/put away parts to proper location.
Loads and unloads product from trucks while demonstrating efficient time management and always focusing on details. When stocking to and pulling from shelves match ID to other parts in the same location. Follow daily inventory control procedures and participate in inventory counts when needed.
Work closely with management to learn and develop the best practices and procedures and find ways to increase productivity. All paperwork from outside vendors is processed through our Receipt of Goods Purchasing module.
Clearly identify and label all incoming products that are in the inventory system. Date/parts /Qty/Initial.
Ensure proper lifting techniques; including proper hoist usage, asking for assistance, or any other measure to ensure safe lifting techniques are completed.
Keeps a neat and clean work environment.
Wear proper safety gear where required, for example, safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
QualificationsHigh School diploma/GED preferredPrevious Warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift certification preferred.
Previous Shipping and Receiving experience preferredBasic computer skills including Microsoft Office, and database data entry preferredMust be 18 years old to apply
