Packing, Shipping, Receiving & Production Support Associate Oak & Twine | Chattanooga, TN Position Overview Oak & Twine is seeking a dependable, highly organized Shipping, Receiving & Production Support Associate to help manage the flow of garments and orders from the moment they arrive at our shop until the finished product leaves our building. This position sits directly between receiving, production, and shipping. Accuracy is extremely important. The person in this role will be responsible for making sure incoming merchandise is counted correctly, entered into our system, organized and prepared for production, and ultimately packed and shipped to the correct customer. The goal of this role is to create a clean, reliable flow of products through our shop so our Production Manager and production team can focus on producing orders efficiently. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory
- Receive daily deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
- Open incoming boxes and accurately count all merchandise received.
- Compare received merchandise against purchase orders, packing slips, and orderinformation.
- Identify shortages, incorrect items, damaged merchandise, or other discrepancies.
- Receive garments and merchandise into DecoNetwork accurately.
- Organize incoming products by customer and production order.
- Make sure every item is accounted for before it moves into production.
- Keep receiving areas clean and organized to prevent products from being misplaced ormixed between orders.
Production Preparation Work closely with our Production Manager to make sure upcoming jobs are completely prepared before they reach production.
Responsibilities include:
- Review the upcoming production schedule and determine which orders need to be prepared next.
- Pull and organize garments for scheduled production.
- Count and verify garments before releasing orders to production.
- Print production worksheets and attach the appropriate documentation to each job.
- Separate garments by size, color, style, design, or decoration location when necessary.
- Make sure production teams have the correct garments and paperwork before beginninga job.
- Identify missing garments or discrepancies before an order reaches the production floor.
- Communicate immediately with the Production Manager when something could delayproduction. DecoNetwork & Order Management
- Receive merchandise into DecoNetwork.
- Update order status as products move through the shop.
- Move orders into and out of the appropriate production stages.
- Maintain accurate digital records so the status shown in DecoNetwork reflects what isphysically happening with the order.
- Help ensure completed production orders are moved promptly into finishing, packing, orshipping.
- Maintain accurate notes regarding shortages, backorders, partial shipments, or otherorder issues. Finished Order Verification Before an order is packed or shipped:
- Verify the finished product against the production worksheet and customer order.
- Confirm quantities, sizes, colors, and products are correct.
- Make sure the order appears complete before packaging.
- Identify obvious production or order discrepancies and bring them to the appropriateteam member before the product leaves the building.
The expectation is simple:

- Fold and package completed garments neatly and professionally.
- Keep customer orders separated and organized throughout the packing process.
- Select appropriate packaging based on the size and type of order.
- Create and print accurate shipping labels.
- Verify the customer's name, company, shipping address, and package count beforeshipment.
- Properly label multi-box shipments.
- Prepare packages for UPS, FedEx, or other appropriate carriers.
- Confirm packages are shipped using the correct service and destination.
- Update orders appropriately once they leave the shop.
- Maintain an organized area for completed orders awaiting pickup, local delivery, orshipment.
Working With Production This person will work closely with the Production Manager and should always have anunderstanding of what production needs next.
Rather than waiting until someone asks for an order to be prepared, the expectation is to look ahead at the schedule and begin preparing upcoming work.
A strong person in this position should eventually be able to look at the production schedule and think: "This is what's running next. Let me make sure everything is counted, received, organized, documented, and ready before production needs it."What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:

- Able to communicate clearly when something is missing, incorrect, or could cause adelay.
- Willing to help wherever needed to keep production moving.
- Physically capable of receiving boxes, moving garments, packing orders, and being ontheir feet throughout portions of the workday.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent.
What Success Looks Like Success in this role means production never has to stop because an order wasn't prepared correctly. Incoming boxes are counted and received promptly. Inventory discrepancies are caught early. Production worksheets are printed. Garments are organized before the production team needs them. DecoNetwork stays accurate. Completed orders are checked, packed professionally, labeled correctly, and shipped to the right customer. This person should become the connection between what comes into Oak & Twine, what moves through production, and what leaves our doors. When this role is functioning properly, the entire production department runs faster, cleaner, and with fewer preventable mistakes.
Pay:
$16.50 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
