Job Summary Packers are experts in ensuring all guitars are packed, identified, labeled, and sealed correctly for customer delivery. They have a complete understanding of the various accessories that should accompany each specific guitar model. They also have a thorough understanding of guitar quality and can meet the requirements of the job in a timely manner. Essential Functions Place the completed guitars in their respective case along with correct accessories and inserts. Identify, package, seal and label the completed guitar case according to the correct specifications for each model. Palletize completed boxes and prep for transfer over to the distribution center. Follow the best practices of manufacturing and material handling requirements. Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules. Obligation to submit safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code. Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Must have a strong attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret specifications and packing instructions for each model of guitar. Ability to work standing and walking continuously during scheduled shift hours. Comfortable working within a diverse team independently as well as collaborating with others. Ability to adapt quickly to change. Ability to recognize challenges and come up with solutions in a timely manner. Required Education and Experience Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan. Must be 18 years of age or older. Personal Qualities Passionate about working and winning in a team environment. Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner Clear and logical thinker Relish working in a company with a diverse, challenging, and fast paced environment Travel Requirements Occasional travel to other facilities may be required, typically less than 10% of the time.
