EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school Diploma or GED required. Previous experience working as a packaging machine operator, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work various shifts to meet the needs of the businss
Basic knowledge of Oasis system in order to operate if needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists with the changes in format for machines.
Ensures the code date is correct on pasta products
Ensures we are using the correct code date n cartons and cases including checking format coding on the Markem printer.
Weigh and/or manage and transports cartons, cardboard and film waste to the respective container as well as the garbage of the shift.
Practices and observes Good Manufacturing Practices
Responsible for ensuring all assigned areas are sanitary and orderly on a daily basis.
Practices safe and secure environment, reporting to a supervisor any observed issues (i.e. food safety, physical safety, environment, equipment).
