Position:
Canature WaterGroup™ is looking for driven, talented, and personable individuals with experience in warehouse shipping and order picking. All of our positions in the warehouse follow good housekeeping standards and participate in 5S / Kaizen activities focusing on continuous improvement. We have a keen focus on quality and all team members are required to escalate issues that do not meet our high standards. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the Shipping Associate is required to read pick lists in order to pick orders accurately and efficiently. This position will operate equipment such as computers and material handling equipment such as forklifts. The Shipping Associate will interact professionally with fellow co-workers, shipping carriers / couriers and customers. This position will work with other departments and operations team members to pick, pack, check and process scheduled orders based on required quality processes and daily / weekly / monthly targets. This position is also responsible for the accurate processing of all outbound shipments in accordance with processes and standards. Some specific tasks for shipping associates are: Verify prepared orders against shipping documents for accuracy and completeness Book carriers and couriers via websites or other means Pick orders accurately and completely following details on pick lists Complete shipping documents with accuracy and precision Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to pick orders Operate banding and shrink-wrapping equipment according to process and procedure to ensure orders sip without damage Read and interpret shipping documents and pick lists Report inventory inaccuracies when found so hand inventory levels can be corrected, and appropriate orders placed by the purchasing department Inspect finished orders for adherence to quality standards Troubleshoot order picking and shipping issues Complete final packaging and pallet preparation including labelling, taping, banding and shrink wrapping Pick and ship orders following all quality standards while meeting daily / weekly / monthly targets Participates in activities and training to increase job knowledge, including any required training, job rotation programs Assist in the training and coaching of other team members Follow all safety protocols, procedures and guidelines Participate in annual company inventory This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the job and does not encompass all tasks or responsibilities that may be assigned. About you:
1-3 years experience in an assembly / production line, or shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment Experience in plumbing an asset Previous experience in a manufacturing / assembly role preferred Previous experience in either shipping / order picking or receiving Must be a team player with a positive and professional attitude Customer Service experience an asset. About the work environment:
