Shipping Material Handler - Job Description Position Summary The Shipping Material Handler is responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility, preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming materials, and supporting production by ensuring materials are staged and delivered efficiently. This position plays a key role in maintaining shipping accuracy, production flow, and a clean, organized work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Stage outgoing loads before trucks arrive to ensure on-time loading. Create load sheets accurately. Count and audit loads to verify shipment accuracy. Transport raw materials into the production area. Remove finished products from production and stage them for shipping. Maintain a clean and organized shipping yard. Operate an overhead crane safely. Complete Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping documentation accurately. Inspect and verify incoming materials and parts when unloading trucks. Properly stage incoming materials to improve production efficiency. Empty and move hoppers within the facility as needed. Communicate with the production team before removing hoppers, bringing in materials, or removing finished products to ensure production needs are met. Support production by minimizing the need for machine operators and welders to leave their workstations to operate forklifts. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous forklift experience. Ability to operate an overhead crane or willingness to be trained. Basic math and counting skills with attention to detail. Ability to accurately complete shipping paperwork and documentation. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Schedule First Shift Monday through

5:00 PM - 5:30 AM Overtime, when required: Half-day or full-day Fridays Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
