Join us in being the world's leading healthcare professional-grade VMS company! ⠀ The Role This position is responsible for filling orders from warehouse stock and packing finished and wrapped product according to Standard Operating Procedures. Key Responsibilities Pick product, by product code and quantity, as listed on the respective Pick Lists, from the respective pallet and flow-rack positions Group the ordered items on a pallet(s) and stage in the designated distributor order staging area Verify accuracy of product picked against respective Pick List for order completeness. Follow through to assure completeness of order, prior to stacking/packing the product for shipment. Stack "packers" directly onto a pallet, or otherwise neatly arrange product/packers in a container(s), using excelsior, waste paper, or other packing materials necessary to prevent breakage or damage to the product being shipped…and stack those containers on a designated pallet(s) Initiate manual pack list as each respective pallet is assembled, cross check manual pack lists against computer printed Pick List Generate a computer-pack list indicating product being shipped Stretch-wrap and label each pallet to its designated destination As needed, may assemble standard crates or pre-cut cartons Operate moving equipment in the performance of tasks as needed Train and serve as a mentor to all new Distribution Picker/Packers to achieve a consistently accurate, uniform, error free, pick and pack of all orders. Demonstrate a mastery of all Distribution Picker/Packer processes. Insure timely picking, packing, and shipping of all order types per SMART objectives. Schedule carrier's for shipments Retain knowledge required to backup lead during absences and vacations Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead and/or Warehouse Supervisor Basic Requirements High School diploma required Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language Prefer some shipping experience On the job training will be provided This position requires GMP training and certification Knowledge of Must learn Standard Operating Procedures for picking and packing of product, and of warehouse operations Must learn Good Manufacturing Practices and operate accordingly Physical requirements/working conditions Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day May stoop or crouch to access files or storage Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments Compensation The current range for this role based out of [Colonial Height, VA] is $19.50 hourly The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
