Job Description

Metal Packer Skana Aluminum Company | Manitowoc, WI Precision. Care. Pride in Every Shipment. Ready to be the final quality checkpoint before our aluminum reaches customers? As a Metal Packer, you'll play a critical role in making sure every coil and slab leaves our facility in excellent condition safely packaged, accurately documented, and ready for delivery. What You'll Do Inspect aluminum products for surface quality, proper dimensions, and packaging readiness Safely wrap, strap, and label finished coils and slabs according to customer specifications and company guidelines Prepare packaging materials, including protective wraps, corner boards, skids, and strapping systems Accurately record product counts, sizes, and packaging details for inventory and shipping documentation Coordinate with production and shipping teams to prioritize packaging schedules and meet delivery deadlines Operate a forklift to move finished products to storage or loading areas Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area Identify and promptly report product defects, safety hazards, or equipment issues Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and quality standards Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-training as needed What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Safety-first mindset Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Comfort operating a forklift (or willingness to be trained/certified) Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience a plus
Hours:
2pm- 10pm (Monday- Friday) Why Skana?
