$110,000 - $160,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain/Procurement Manager to join our team in the Aerospace/Defense industry. The successful candidate will expertise in managing the procurement of large BOMs for highly complex electrical components. The role demands a robust understanding of warehouse management, cost reduction strategies, inventory control, and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (D-FAR). This individual will have the opportunity to influence and shape the supply chain strategy, making a significant impact on our operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production planning, warehouse management, inventory control, shipping, and receiving. Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to maximize profitability without sacrificing product quality or delivery timelines. Ensure compliance with FAR and D-FAR regulations in all supply chain activities. Forecast demand to ensure the availability of products and resources, taking proactive measures to avoid supply shortages or excess inventory. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve the supply chain process. Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance, taking corrective action as needed. Establish strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms. Train and mentor supply chain staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management in the Engineering industry, with a proven track record of success. Must have experience managing direct reports with supply chain and operations. Aerospace/Defense industry experience is a must. Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume environment with complex electronic components and large BOMs Proficient in production planning, warehouse management, cost reduction strategies, inventory control, and shipping and receiving. Strong knowledge of FAR and D-FAR regulations. Proficient in supply chain management software and tools. Strong commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.
