Director of Procurement Posted on May 12, 2025 May 12, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to lead enterprise-wide sourcing and procurement initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, optimizing supplier performance, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring continuity of supply across a diverse range of categories. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of operational execution, cross-functional leadership, and supplier relationship management. Position Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals Identify, evaluate, and manage key supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and value Cost Optimization & Contract Negotiation Lead pricing negotiations and contract management to drive cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction across all categories Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal departments including operations, finance, and legal to support procurement planning and execution Provide procurement insights and data to aid in enterprise decision-making Risk Management & Compliance Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and monitoring supplier performance Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Identify and support opportunities for professional development and training within the team Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred) 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain leadership roles Demonstrated success in managing complex, global sourcing initiatives Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) PMP (Project Management Professional) What the Role Offers Competitive salary range: $195,000 - $230,000 Leadership role with significant influence over company-wide sourcing strategies High-impact position within a collaborative and innovative business environment Professional growth and advancement opportunities within a well-supported team structure Why Mesa?
