We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join a well-established, family-owned engineering and manufacturing company that produces precision instrumentation for industrial, aerospace, and medical device applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, developing supplier relationships, and taking ownership of the purchasing function in a growing environment. If you're proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to make a direct impact, this opportunity is a strong fit. Key Responsibilities Establish and lead the purchasing function, implementing processes and best practices Develop and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency Source and evaluate new vendors while maintaining a robust supplier network Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers Plan and manage inventory levels to support production while controlling costs Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet technical requirements Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delivery Ensure timely procurement of materials to prevent production delays Analyze purchasing data to identify cost savings and improve efficiency Collaborate directly with executive leadership to align purchasing strategy with business goalsQualifications:
4-7 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment Experience sourcing mechanical and/or electronic components preferred Strong negotiation skills with experience supporting cost reduction initiatives and supplier relationships Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other regulated industries is a plus, not required Solid understanding of inventory planning and supply chain coordination Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams Experience using ERP/MRP systems Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholdersWe Offer:
