Manage our HH recipe book and make all HH products with accuracy and food safety compliance. You'll keep jars, lids, labels, and ingredients flowing; maintain organized stockrooms with reliable counts; and execute/co-manage production runs with Hollie that meet our quality, safety, and brand standards. This role blends purchasing, logistics, and Good Manufacturing Practices-minded making—plus light retail operations support on the sales floor as needed. Core Responsibilities Procurement & Vendor Management Work with our existing local vendors and source new ones when needed. Purchase glass jars, lids, shrink bands, labels/packaging, and food/cosmetic ingredients (herbs, oils, vinegars, salts, honey, etc.). Maintain approved-vendor list with pricing, Minimum Order Quantities, and lead times; request quotes and negotiate where appropriate. Monitor on-hand and on-order quantities; with a mindfulness for seasonal product changes and events. Track shipments; receive and inspect deliveries; resolve shortages/damage with vendors. Inventory Management & Logistics Own raw-material and finished-goods counts; set and maintain standard levels Maintain adequate stock in stockroom and retail floor. Perform monthly counts and monthly reconciliations; investigate and correct variances. Keep storage areas clean, labeled, and compliant; ensure price/label accuracy on finished goods. Production - Food, Tea, Bath/Body Execute and/or lead small batch runs per HH recipes Operate filling, capping, and labeling processes; verify label correctness (ingredients, allergens, net weight). Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation, and allergen-control basics; maintain logs (cleaning, temp as applicable). Coordinate with Hollie on production schedule to meet demand for classes, tastings, holidays, and wholesale/retail needs. Quality, Compliance & Safety Hold a valid California Food Handler Card (or obtain within 30 days). Follow county health department requirements for retail food operations; escalate issues promptly. Ensure workspace is clean and sanitary, make sure equipment is running properly, stored safely, and in clean, good working order. Store Operations Support Assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and customer service during peak periods as needed. Communicate low-stock and best sellers from the floor to inform procurement and production priorities. Administration & Reporting Update inventory system with Hollie weekly. Provide a simple weekly dashboard visible to staff (whiteboard). Surface risks early (supply delays, cost spikes, yield issues) with suggested mitigations. Qualifications 5+ year in purchasing, inventory, production, or specialty food/cosmetic making or related experience; retail back‑of‑house experience a plus. Canva/label layout edits and familiarity with ingredient statements Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable with spreadsheet; basic math and unit conversions. Hands‑on maker: weighing, mixing, hot‑fill/cold‑fill basics, capping/labeling with care and consistency. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. (cases of jars/ingredients) and stand for extended periods. Experience with POS/inventory tools.
