The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Bid Manager - Airfield Lighting and Airport Solutions to lead and coordinate the bidding process for airfield lighting products, services, and solutions. This role is responsible for managing proposals from the initial RFP/RFQ/customer inquiry stage through to contract signing. The Bid Manager will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Operations, third-party suppliers, installation contractors, and customers to ensure high-quality, compliant, competitive, and timely bid submissions. This position is ideal for someone with a technical background, strong proposal management skills, and experience working with complex customer requirements, technical documentation, and contract terms. You will make an impact by... Proposal and Bid Management Manage the full bid process from initial customer inquiry, RFI, RFQ, or RFP through proposal submission and contract award. Review and analyze proposal requirements to ensure full compliance with customer specifications, submission instructions, timelines, and contractual requirements. Coordinate the technical proposal development process with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Engineering, Product, Operations, and Legal/Contracts teams. Prepare, review, and support the submission of offers, bids, contracts, and other sales-related documents required by customers. Ensure proposals are accurate, complete, professionally presented, and submitted on time. Manage multiple proposals simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Technical and Commercial Support Provide standard technical product application assistance to internal teams, customers, and business partners as required. Review sales proposals for product and service opportunities to determine technical and commercial feasibility. Support Regional Sales Managers in developing cost estimates that align with customer requirements, schedules, and contract terms. Analyze customer requirements, geographic territory, market conditions, and competitive activity to develop effective sales offers and bids. Provide timely comments and recommended adjustments to contract terms and conditions. Respond to sales inquiries and proposal approval requests in a timely and professional manner. Customer, Supplier, and Contractor Coordination Contact customers and business partners to obtain technical clarifications during the bidding process. Provide technical support to end customers before and during the sales acquisition phase. Engage with third-party airfield suppliers and installation contractors to obtain pricing, technical information, and project-specific support. Prepare RFQs for suppliers and contractors, evaluate received offers, and recommend appropriate suppliers or subcontractors for each opportunity. Industry and Technical Documentation Maintain current knowledge of airport infrastructure market conditions, competitor activity, and customer needs relevant to the bidding process. Review and interpret technical documentation, including drawings, blueprints, plan sets, product specifications, and contractual documents. Support the development or review of airfield lighting-related standards, methods, and technical content. Stay informed on applicable airport and aviation standards, including relevant Canadian aviation requirements and industry best practices. The talent we want to inspire has... Associate diploma, college diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field is strongly preferred. 2 to 5 years of related experience in bid management, proposal coordination, technical sales support, engineering support, or project coordination. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered. Experience with airfield lighting, airport infrastructure, electrical systems, or aviation-related products is considered an asset.

Familiarity with RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes and required documentation. Experience reviewing and interpreting technical documentation such as drawings, plan sets, specifications, and technical manuals. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal and commercial documents, including customer contracts and terms and conditions. Knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and products is an asset. Familiarity with Transport Canada airport standards, Canadian Aviation Regulations, NAV CANADA requirements, or FAA airport policies and products is considered an asset.
