No Degree RequiredResponsibilities- Oversee purchasing activities and review, approve, and manage purchase orders
- Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and reliability
- Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain risks
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, safety stock, and purchasing requirements
- Resolve supplier issues involving shortages, quality concerns, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, pricing, lead times, supplier certifications, and purchasing documentation
- Analyze purchasing costs, market conditions, and spending trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor purchasing budgets and support annual budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure purchased materials meet company specifications and food safety requirements
- Maintain COAs, specifications, supplier certifications, and other required documentation
- Establish departmental goals and monitor procurement performance metrics
- Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Accounting, and Operations
