!POSITION SUMMARY
The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for leading and executing purchasing activities across the organization within the centralized procurement function. This role provides day-to-day supervision and mentorship to the purchasing team while overseeing complex Requests for Information, Quotes, Bids, and Proposals (RFX) processes, contract development, and vendor negotiations.QUALIFICATION S
: 3-5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience. 1-2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred. Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools. Experience managing vendor negotiations and sourcing initiatives preferred. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Other duties may be assigned:
Directly supervises purchasing team members, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to support individual and team growth. Performs various RFX processes and demonstrates strong knowledge of procurement activities such as bids, proposals, information, quotes, and their appropriate use. Supports and develops forecasting processes and review mechanisms for future inventory requirements (e.g., new consumer projects, system improvements). Works collaboratively across the organization to confirm material needs and place requisitions to ensure material is received ahead of requirement dates. Supports contract administration, including compliance enforcement, service level agreements, pricing structures, amendments, and other duties. Ensures that purchasing documents including PRs, POs, PAs, and product specifications are executed in a manner that meets organizational goals, with accurate master data maintained in Haynes Mechanical's ERP systems. Strategic sourcing and category management. Cost analysis and budgeting. Negotiation and supplier engagement. Vendor onboarding and management.COMPENSATION
