Once the Procurement Manager places an order, you own it—tracking it, chasing confirmations, filing documentation, and making sure everything lands on time and on spec. You'll also support R D sampling, new item sourcing, and day-to-day internal purchase requests. This is a high-ownership role where your follow-through directly protects production. What You'll Own Order Management Take ownership of purchase orders after placement by the Procurement Manager Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and track orders through receipt Work with Logistics to ensure orders arrive when needed Proactively escalate delays, shorts, or quality flags to the team—don't wait to be asked Keep open PO data current and accurate in Fishbowl Supplier Documentation Chase and file all required supplier documents: COAs, spec sheets, allergen declarations, and compliance paperwork Keep supplier files organized and audit-ready for SQF and GFSI requirements Flag expired or missing docs before they become audit issues R D & New Item Support Handle internal RFI (request for information) requests and coordinate sourcing for new ingredients or packaging on behalf of the Procurement Manager Coordinate sample requests, track lead times, and support supplier qualification for new items Work with R D to ensure new item needs are communicated clearly to suppliers Internal Purchase Requests Manage all office supply orders and internal purchase requests submitted Process, source, confirm fulfillment, and close out requests in a timely manner What We're Looking For 1-3 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support Organized and systematic—you build lists, track things, and don't let things fall through the cracks Comfortable communicating with suppliers via email and phone Excellent in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) Experience with ERP or purchasing systems (Fishbowl experience is a plus) Familiarity with food manufacturing documentation (COAs, spec sheets) is a bonus Self-starter who doesn't need to be reminded twice Why This Role We make ~20 soup SKUs sold to major retailers and we take our supply chain seriously. You'll work directly with our Procurement Manager and have real visibility into how we source, evaluate, and manage our supplier base.
