Description Strategic Sourcing Manager /

Procurement Manager Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and financial guidelines. Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms. Execute supplier sourcing events, competitive bids, and risk management initiatives. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships while managing contractual obligations and supplier performance. Maintain procurement reporting tools, supplier databases, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Review and manage approved supplier records in accordance with company risk management policies. Track, report, and improve procurement KPIs and cost reduction initiatives. Support manufacturing and operational leadership through participation in site meetings and strategic planning activities. Ensure supplier compliance with corporate standards and procurement policies. Partner with internal stakeholders to standardize products, services, and sourcing practices across multiple facilities. Prepare regular reporting on savings initiatives, supplier performance, market conditions, and procurement metrics. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability within the procurement function. Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications:

Strategic sourcing and procurement experience. Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills. Experience managing supplier performance and vendor relationships. Knowledge of risk management and sourcing best practices. Manufacturing or industrial procurement experience preferred. Strong analytical, reporting, and KPI management capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with purchasing systems, supplier databases, and procurement reporting tools. Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
