ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Procurement and Operations Manager, you'll own the behind-the-scenes systems that make our design work possible: ordering and tracking merchandise, invoicing, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients. You'll report to the Principal Designer and work in person in Washington, D.C.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Procurement and purchasing Manage the full lifecycle of furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpaper, artwork, and accessories, from data entry and ordering to tracking and delivery Keep Studio Designer, Asana, and our expediting spreadsheet current, and prepare status reports for the team and clients Resolve delayed, damaged, or missing orders with vendors, shippers, and our receiver Operations Create and send invoices, process client payments, and reconcile accounts in Studio Designer Manage petty cash records, track time, and handle day-to-day office operations Design support Build merchandise proposals with product details, photos, and pricing Support furniture installations and photo shoots, including carrying and transporting medium-weight items such as lamps and styling boxes
WHAT YOU BRING
2+ years of experience in procurement or operations Meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-through Clear, positive written and verbal communication A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to pitch in wherever the team needs you
POSITION DETAILS
Full-time (40 hours per week), in-person, FLSA exempt. The role is expected to reach about 50% billable time per week. Salary range $70,000 - $80,000.
