Purchasing Manager Hilton Miami Beach is a highly anticipated new-build hotel inside a historic Art Deco building steps from Collins Park, the Miami Beach Convention Center, Collins Avenue, Lincoln Road, and South Beach. With playfully designed guest rooms, three dining outlets — Amador, Savant Rooftop Bar, and Haute Mess Cafe — two rooftop pools, and flexible meeting space, this flagship 289-room property is now building its team ahead of its December 2026 opening.
THE ROLE
The Purchasing Manager oversees procurement of goods and services for the hotel, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery across all departments while maintaining strong vendor relationships and inventory controls. This is a pre-opening hire — you'll help build this role from the ground up ahead of our December 2026 launch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts for hotel supplies, equipment, and services.
▪ Oversee purchase order processing and approval workflows across departments.
▪ Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate par levels with department heads.
▪ Monitor vendor performance, pricing, and contract compliance.
▪ Partner with department heads (Culinary, Housekeeping, Engineering) on procurement needs and budget adherence.
▪ Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
▪ Manage receiving and storeroom operations to ensure proper documentation and controls.
▪ Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
▪ Establish initial vendor relationships and purchasing agreements ahead of property launch.
▪ Set up receiving, storeroom, and inventory systems and procedures prior to opening.
▪ Coordinate initial operating supply orders in partnership with department heads and ownership.
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
▪ 3-5 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in hospitality.
▪ Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
▪ Experience with purchasing/inventory software.
▪ Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
