Job Description

Job Purpose:
National Sourcing:
supporting all US locations. Secure, negotiate and lead national procurement sourcing events for raw materials and consumed goods onbehalf of the US locations. Generate cost savings through analysis of materials andprocesses to promote the overall health and profitability of the Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Analysis - Utilize all resources to gather, organize, analyze and verify sourcing project details.

Analyze and calculate cost scenarios, savings and increase impacts. Develop ways to improve & drive all areas of cost reduction opportunities.

Lead RFI, RFP and RFQ national supplier sourcing/negotiating events. Develop & manage national contract agreements to support the plants.

Manage, monitor, track indices & negotiate national pricing of raw materials & consumed goods/parts with national suppliers.

Develop/generate and implement efficient souring & category management strategies.

Work very closely with all US plants and national suppliers to ensure our plants material needs are procured at the lowest total cost.

Spot research/monitor site purchases and payables to ensure processes, procedures, contract purchase and material master compliance.

Guide procurement of national items and communicate material master utilization guidelines to the plants.
Requirements:
Strong project management, analytical & attention to detail skills, self-motivated.

Listening skills a must to allow rationalization of directional procurement to support the plants.

Strategic procurement and supplier negotiation experience. (manufacturing environment preferred with raw materials, consumed goods/parts)SAP or ERP network knowledge preferred.

Attention to details; cause and effect outcome of those details across all domestic manufacturing sites.

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office software (emphasis in spreadsheets, data entry & formulas) for cost analysis and indices tracking.

Possess ability to multi-task in a very fast paced environment.

Comfortable deciphering product specifications and working with figures.

Strong communication skills while sustaining relationships in stressful situations.
