Job Description

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, tracking metrics, negotiating deals, and managing vendors. Collaborate with stakeholders, forecast market trends, and ensure clear requirements documentation. Analyze costs, mitigating risks, and determining optimal delivery quantities and timings.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Develop. Lead and execute purchasing strategies. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. Review purchase requests and approve all purchase orders while maintaining SOX compliance. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power Oversee all Receiving functions for incoming goods of above procured items and help solve problems as they arise as well as implement preventative guidelines. Negotiate contracts proactively with suppliers for various products and services. Qualify and monitor supplier compliance for ISO 9001 and
IATF 16949
quality certifications. Forecast monthly supply spend in various categories and monitor/ report daily and weekly actuals to management while adjusting based on business conditions. Forecast monthly utility usages and monitor/ report daily and weekly actuals to management while adjusting as needed. Work with divisional procurement on utility contracts and seasonal price hedging. Identify annual cost savings through price negotiations, lean initiatives, and supplier support.

Have:
Strong leadership capabilities, contract negotiation skills, and analytical abilities Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or related field. Proven working experience as a Purchasing Manager Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret purchase agreements. A knack for negotiation and networking. Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends. Solid judgement along with decision making skills. Experience with ERP systems such as JDE or Oracle. Institute for Supply Management certification such as CPSM or CPSD a plus. Working onsite from Newnan Georgia location M-F 8:00a-5:00p
