Summary As a Category Manager at 7-Eleven Hawaii, you will play a pivotal role in driving product assortment and profitability within your category. This position is essential for optimizing inventory management and enhancing our customer experience through strategic sourcing and negotiation. Responsibilities Build and keep strong and lasting relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers. Ensure timely introduction of new items to optimize sales and profits. Negotiate the best price for products using market insights, brand value, and buying power to get top quality at the lowest price. Coordinate, implement and assess promotions, incentive programs and contests intended to drive the engagement of customers and store teams. Carry out and assess competitive price surveys to spot chances for price optimization and implement daily retail pricing strategies that align with set goals. Examine data and insights to identify industry and consumer trends and predict the demand for new products and services. Project and measure category performance. Communicate category performance with teams from different departments to identify growth and improvement. Requirements Proven experience in category management or related field within retail. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier relationships. Ability to problem solve and use independent judgement Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
