Full-time plus benefits $50k-$65k/year based on experience Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Stable, family-owned company for over 60 years! The Purchasing Manager develops and maintains vendor relationships, negotiates costs and programs, supports store operations, and drives profitability through effective purchasing strategies. This position works closely with vendors, store managers, accounting, receiving, and leadership to ensure product availability, pricing accuracy, inventory integrity, and overall operational success across the Iowa 80 Group. Key Responsibilities Negotiate pricing, terms, rebates, and promotional programs with vendors. Support store managers and profit centers with product sourcing, pricing, inventory, and purchasing needs. Monitor backorders, inventory issues, and purchase order discrepancies. Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve product, shipping, and service issues. Coordinate vendor participation and logistics for training events and company initiatives. Analyze sales, margins, and product performance to identify opportunities for growth and profitability. Identify and develop private label, bulk purchase, and promotional opportunities. Manage pricing strategies, cost updates, and gross profit improvement initiatives. Industry retail experience highly preferred Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Experience in purchasing, retail merchandising, inventory management, or vendor management preferred. Ability to analyze sales and financial data and make strategic recommendations. Proficiency with purchasing, inventory, and reporting systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment. Build strong partnerships across departments to support company goals and initiatives. Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a willingness to continuously improve processes and results. Represent the company professionally and positively when interacting with vendors, business partners, and internal teams. Demonstrate enthusiasm and pride in the company, its products, and its commitment to customers and employees.
