JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Supervisor to manage and execute all purchasing activities for our multi-site manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will be a professional expert in purchasing skills and techniques, with a heavy emphasis on advanced proficiency and functionality within the NetSuite ERP system. This role requires an individual with a positive, collaborative attitude who excels at managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and fostering excellent working relationships with internal teams and external vendors. This position will be on-site in Nampa, Idaho at our corporate office.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:NetSuite Proficiency:
Expert-level knowledge of NetSuite ERP, including procurement modules, inventory management, vendor management, and reporting. Ability to leverage NetSuite functionality to optimize purchasing workflows.Purchasing Expertise:
Deep understanding of procurement best practices, negotiation strategies, contract management, and supply chain logistics specific to a multi-site manufacturing environment.Detail Oriented:
Exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of purchasing, including order placement, documentation, data entry, and compliance.SOP Ownership:
Proven experience in owning, developing, implementing, and maintaining detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the entire purchasing lifecycle.Attitude and Collaboration:
Demonstrated positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a history of working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.Inventory Management:
Strong grasp of inventory control principles, including safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead time management within an ERP system. Performs other duties as assigned.SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Essentials skills and abilities are required, and are not limited to the following:Cost Reduction:
Track record of successfully identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery.Team Leadership:
Experience in mentoring, training and supervising junior purchasing staff to optimize procurement activities.Logistics Knowledge:
Understanding of freight and shipping logistics, including Incoterms, and managing carrier relationships.Risk Mitigation:
Ability to identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for critical materials.Documentation:
Ensure all purchasing documentation is accurate, complete, and filed in accordance with company policy.Cross-Functional Communication:
Must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, when interacting with team members and external vendors. Serve as the primary purchasing liaison between manufacturing sites, finance, and planning departments.Reporting:
Prepare and present purchasing reports, including KPIs, vendor performance, and cost variances, utilizing NetSuite data.Compliance:
Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job may require travel up to 10% of the time.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising purchasing in a complex, multi-location manufacturing setting. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as drawings, specs, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Also important is the ability to write occasional reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or employees.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Perform numerical and variance analysis, measurements, differential equations, probability and statistics, algebra, handling complex data, functions and formulations in Excel, budgeting and simple calculations.COMPUTER SKILLS
Knowledge of NetSuite ERP, Google suite, and Excel required.REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to communicate and assist in the resolution of practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
