As we scale manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand, we are seeking a Purchasing Manager who will manager our growing supply chain and purchasing activities.

Supplier visits as required Core Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key component categories (electrochemical systems, pumps, valves, instrumentation, structural materials) Lead end-to-end supplier qualification: RFQs, audits, technical evaluations, and negotiations Build long-term partnerships with strategic vendors; diversify supply base to mitigate risk Drive cost-reduction initiatives through volume leverage, material substitution, and standardized specifications Operations Management Manage purchase orders end-to-end within Oracle NetSuite ERP Expedite critical materials and equipment to support manufacturing and project schedules Monitor and report supplier performance metrics (on-time delivery, quality acceptance rates, responsiveness) Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies Cross-functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering to clarify technical requirements, review drawings, and evaluate alternative suppliers Provide timely supplier pricing and lead-time data to support project estimating and customer quoting Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing teams on incoming inspection and non-conformance resolution Participate in new product introduction (NPI) planning and bill of materials (BOM) development Risk Management Proactively identify and communicate supply chain risks (delivery delays, quality issues, geopolitical factors) to stakeholders Implement contingency sourcing plans for single-source or bottlenecked components Escalate critical issues with clear recommendations and impact assessments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain in a manufacturing or industrial environment Proven negotiation ability, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving Experience purchasing technical or engineered components Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, and technical datasheets Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) Documented track record of achieving 5-15% annual cost reductions through sourcing initiatives CPIM, CPM, or CPSM certification is a plus Why Join ElectraMet ?
