full-time Procurement Manager Marlborough, MA | $100,000 - $130,000+ Base + Bonus A global engineering and technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer/ to join its growing US procurement team. Operating in a low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environment, this role is responsible for sourcing and managing a broad portfolio of technical components and materials used in the production of highly engineered products. The hiring manager is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, challenge suppliers, identify savings opportunities and bring a proactive approach to a technically complex manufacturing environment.
Typical spend areas include:
Electronic components and PCB assemblies Sensors, connectors and cables Precision machined and mechanical parts Electromechanical assemblies Metals, fabricated components and custom-engineered parts MRO and operational requirements This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded procurement professional who can balance supplier relationships, cost reduction initiatives, inventory management and supply continuity in a business where complexity is driven by the number of components and technical requirements rather than simply spend volume. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of direct material suppliers Drive supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives Review MRP demand signals and take appropriate action Identify and qualify new suppliers Improve supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery Ensure material availability to support production schedules Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations teams Support product changes, component transitions and supply risk mitigation What We're Looking For 5+ years' procurement or purchasing experience within manufacturing Experience sourcing direct materials and technical components Strong negotiation and supplier management skills SAP and MRP experience Ability to work across engineering, operations and supply chain functions Proven track record delivering savings and supplier improvements Why Join?
